Enter Wegan Foods – The Royalty-Backed Indian Vegan Foodtech Startup

Wegan Foods planned on scaling the commercial kitchen, building up inventory and their brand which is what the investment from Her Highness Sheikha Arwa Al Qassimi will be used for.

The company has decided to operate in Mumbai through modern trade means, including food delivery phone apps and business partnerships from the industry.

On the menu. The startup plans to put a variety of dairy-free and vegan everyday ingredients, with dairy-free cheese being the first.

According to the CEO, the company focuses not only on providing vegan foods but also carrying a line of delicious and nutritious foods that all ages can enjoy.

He also recognizes one of the major problems for the industry – many people hold preconceived notions about vegan food, believing it is tasteless and “boring” with tastes much different than the original tastes and flavors.

Just like regular cheese, it melts, slices, stretches, and shreds; Wegan’s vegan cheese holds up to the criteria. The dairy-free cheese is also gluten- and soy-free and set to launch in October 2017.
